A fine and large kingwood, marquetry and gilt metal break bowfront sideboard, in the Louis XVI style, made by Whittinghams of Jersey, late 20th century, the cross banded top with feather veneered and floral marquetry decoration, over a central bowfront bank of four conforming drawers below a gilt metal floral and guilloche frieze, flanked by two pairs of cupboards, the doors with floral marquetry panels, over a serpentine apron, raised on angular cabriole style legs with gilt metal sabots, 95½ x 23½in. (242.5 x 59.5cm.), 40½in. (102.8cm.) high.
