Early 18th century sampler, appears to be dated 1809, with alphabet, numerals and depictions of birds, housed in an ebonised and gilt glazed frame, label to reverse "ANN DAVIES 1809 (SHROPSHIRE) afterwards wife of John Williams F.S.A. F.R.A.S. secretary of the Royal Astronomical Society, died at Burlington House 1875", the sampler 27cm wide, 36cm high, black work sampler, with black silk stitching in various patterns, housed in a white painted glazed frame, the sampler 28.5cm wide, 24cm high (2)
