The Cricket Chronicle, 1864, Captain W Bayly, Captain Bayly launched his cricket annual in 1864 with the intention of producing one each year. In the same year a gentleman named John Wisden launched his new cricket annual as well at a lower price, and mainly due to this Bayly did not produce another annual after 1864
