A pair of 16th century German or Netherlandish oak and wrought iron strapwork window shutters, later mounted on a cupboard, the moulded cornice above two pairs of hinged shutters, (previously bi-fold), mounted with elaborate wrought iron strapwork hinges and bolt escutcheons, enclosing a shelf and clothes pole, width 156cm, depth 57cm, height 210cm cf. a pair of similar window shutters, dated c.1550, in the Victorian & Albert Museum London, accession number 2452-1856.
