RAD Leader dagger, circa 1937 with associated scabbard,
Rare model 1937 RAD Führer Haumesser (Officer/Leader's Hewer), complete with original plated steel scabbard. The pommel features the noble eagle looking to the viewer's left.
The blade has the acid etched motto “Arbeit adelt” however the other side does not appear to have a makers mark.
The scabbard is in good overall condition retaining retains much of the original plating throughout the surface and also retaining is partial pebbling to both sides

There has obviously been work/restoration done to the back of the crossguards/top of the blade? area - see photos, this may account for the lack of a makers mark ?
