A HIGHLY DECORATED WEDDING SPOON WITH FRENCH WEEVIL MARK TO THE BOWL INTERIOR, the spoon has fantastic detail to the pierced tip, which shows a man playing an instrument in a landscape with a goat beneath, the stem is formed of barley twist design which meets the bowl as fish heads, the bowl then has repoussé work depicting a male & female couple in classical dress. To the underside of the bowl are further hallmark detail rubbed; one shows a crown over another object. Possibly .800 fineness silver, not tested. Length: 23cm, weight 65grams.
