A LARGE SILVER TUREEN, LONDON 1762. A circular tureen on 4 cast scroll & shell feet, gadroon edges and a realistically cast pomegranate finial. Made in London in 1762 by Lewis Hearne & Francis Butty.

Arms and coronet of Sir Lawrence Dundas Bart. (1710-1781) Dundas was a well known collector of art and was famously painted by Zoffany surrounded by his collection.

The tureen is in good condition, with only the expected patina of its age. There is a small crack (not a break) to the stalk of the pomegranate finial. Aside from that the is no damage, repair nor dents.
