Pair of George III silver chamber sticks, by John Edwards, London 1790, one complete with nozzle and snuffer, the other lacking both, sold with an unmarked ripple edged nozzle and unmarked snuffer, 14cm diameter, total silver weight approx. 525g
Please note, as per the catalogue description, that there is only one complete chamber stick with matching nozzle and snuffer, the other is simply the base with an unmarked nozzle and snuffer, engraved with a different crest. Both sticks show signs of wear. One has a visible repair to the handle where it joins the base, and associated cracks. Myriad of pinprick dents around the base in addition to bends. The other stick has cracks in the same place at the base of the handle; slightly less bent but similar minute pinprick dents and sharp dents at the sconce. Condition overall is poor and incomplete.
