A QUEEN'S SOUTH AFRICA MEDAL WITH RELIEF OF LADYSMITH CLASP TO A CASUALTY WITH THE DEVON REGIMENT. A Queen's South Africa Medal with ghost dates and Relief of Ladysmith clasp named to 2023 Pte T. Andrews Devon Regt. Private Andrews was wounded on the 5th February 1900 at Potgieters Drift whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, on the 5th February they were tasked to 'hold a farm house & stone wall (Monger's Farm) this was carried out at the same time as Lyttletons Bde gained Vaal Krantz Ridge after some opposition. The Battalion remained holding the farm all night & improved the defences there. Casualties one man killed 15 wounded'. Mounted for display with copied research.
