1949 2½d UPU (SG499). Very fine unadopted 2½d hand-drawn artist's essay, executed in pencil on thick wove paper (252x151mm) by the eventual designer Mary Adshead, with additional sketches on reverse and with the artist's name and address. Scarce and attractive.
