A Middle Eastern brass targe shield, profusely decorated with damascended detail and four cabochons flanked by an entwined snake, all within a relief decorated border of running animals, diameter 36cm, lacks leather handles to the reverse.
Has been displayed on a wall and the hanging wire is still present. The four suspension loops are present to the reverse but the leather fittings are no longer present.
