Provenance; The previous owner has contacted us regarding some of its history. They purchased it in the early 1980's from a renowned saddle shop in Brigg in Lincolnshire, it was used to entertain customers children and is equipped with a quality pony saddle. They had it restored by Stan and Dorothy Harrison in the late 1980's, they reported that it has a wooden carved head and legs with plank body, this was then stuffed and the whole covered in Dutch calves hide. They believed it be of mid to late Victorian manufacture and have left a scroll inside the body relating to the restoration. The base was left unrestored.
