1841 (Nov 23) Entire from Wellington to Ludlow franked 1d, handstamped "MISSENT TO / RAILWAY / POST OFFICE" used on the London & Birmingham T.P.O (the only T.P.O then operating), a little overinked but still very clear, horizontal file fold, otherwise fine and scarce. Also 1883 1d pink envelope franked ½d cancelled "MID T.P.O / FROM THE SOUTH" c.d.s; 1898 2½d envelope from Dorchester to Newfoundland with "LONDON & HOLYHEAD T.P.O / NIGHT DOWN" c.d.s on the front; and 1903 registered cover from Germany with hooded circle "REGISTERED / LONDON & QUEENBOROUGH / S.T" datestamp on the front.
