ARR DAVID MEAD (1906-1986), 'Near Cuxton, Kent' and 'Canterbury Woods', a pair, oil on board, signed to one lower left, attribution and title verso to both, 40.5cm x 50.5cm
Cuxton, Kent: no paint loss or damage to the image other than scratches/scuffs around the extreme edges where the frame has rubbed. The board moves slightly in the frame when tapped so it may be possible to reposition the board so the frame sits on the marks. 55cm x 65cm x 4.5cm deep.
Canterbury: board is tighter in frame but it tapped cut of position it also has marks along the frame line. Tap and they disappear. Top right hand corner has two small depressions in the board. There is no paint loss or other disturbance around these. Top left hand corner is a drip of clear hard liquid - varnish? It sits approximate 2-2.5cm vertically along the tree trunk.
