A probably George II-era yellow metal brooch, acid tests as 10 carat gold, featuring an enamel portrait of a young girl talking to a small bird, the portrait surrounded by seed pearls. The face of the brooch measuring 5/8" x 1/2". As found: 2 seed pearls missing, clasp to reverse damaged, but still a striking item and well captured image. Approximate weight 3.17g
