WW1 5th Bn Bedfordshire Regiment Casualty Officer ID bracelet and 1913 London Driving Licence. An alloy ID bracelet stamped G.O. LYDEKKER C OF E 1/5 BEDFORD. Complete with steel chain. Accompanied by a County of London Drivers Licence (Ingrid Gwen Lydekker), this for the period July 1912 to June 1913. (2 items) Lieutenant and Quartermaster Gerard Owen Lydekker on the day war was declared volunteered he was later granted a Commission on the 29th November 1914 and joined his brother with the 5th Bn. Landed at Gallipoli he survived the campaign and later died on the 14th June 1917. His brothers uniforms are included in this auction. Second Lieutenant Cyril Richard Lydekker who was Killed in Action on the 15th August 1915 during the second assault on Kidney Hill Gallipoli.
