city mark and indistinct maker's mark, the hinged lid centred by a cut-cornered reserve painted with villagers dancing, the interior painted with two river landscapes, the sides decorated with gilt scrolls on a claret ground, the underside further enamel decorated with dense scrollwork. 7.5cm long
