Rugby Union caps awarded to 14649 Pte Herbert (Joe) Affleck R.M.L.I. with:
1. R.M.L.I. green cap with gold braid by J.& G. Ross, Exeter, red lettering Plym Divn R.M.L.I. with dates 1921-22, 1923-34, 1924-25, 1925-26, 1927-28 and 1928-29 around, wear to the lining, otherwise nearly extremely fine.
2. Devonport Services black cap with silver braid by J.& G. Ross, Exeter, red lettering SD 1926-27 to front, wear to the lining, otherwise nearly extremely fine.
With copied service paper, he was born in Salford, enlisted 9/10/08, served on HMS Warrior 8/6/11 until she sank on 1st June 1916 after being badly damaged during the Battle of Jutland. He was discharged 8/10/29.
Also comes with a wooden display case with glass front, but this case WILL NOT BE POSTED. (B)
