A group of twenty one early 21st Century Military US challenge coins collected during the Afghanistan War by the vendor. Most date to 2008-9. Notable coins include those from: Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of Joint Chief of Staff; Counter IED; Regional Command South, 99 Exp Reconnaissance Squadron and others. Challenge coins are traditionally given into the hand of the recipient by higher ranking officers as a thank you or for acts of merit. Each between 3.8cm to 5.2cm diameter. (21)
