A rare Caughley porcelain 'Strap-Fluted Floral' sauceboat, circa 1776-82, painted in underglaze blue with the flower group within moulded panels, painted open C with serif, 17.5cm long and 9.5cm tall Note: Likely an addition to the 'one of two known' as referenced in The Caughley Society, Caughley Blue and White Patterns, p.115 (one of which was sold as part of the Rev. Maurice Wright Collection). Condition:In good condition with no cracks, chips, damages or repairs. There is a short firing fissure crack descending from the rim, approximately 5mm long.
