Howard & Sons - A Victorian 19th century mahogany & ormolu rectangular writing desk. The desk having a central tooled leather skiver with embossed brass canted edges. Fitted frieze below with three disappearing drawers. The drawers & frieze decorated with reeded carvings filled with ormolu detailing alternating to brass floral roundels. All raised on squared tapering supports having brass capitals atop over garlands ormolu detailing. Supports' ending with acanthus leaves shaped feet raised on brass castors. Label to inside of drawer. Measures approx. 72cm x 137cm x 73cm.
