Framed and glazed
The picture is framed under glass and has not been removed for inspection. The colours appear to be reasonably clean and bright, but may have faded somewhat over time. The paper is also likely to have darkened somewhat over time. There is the odd small fox mark to the sky, most noticeably to the right sky. The frame shows the odd small chip and loss to the gilt finish.
PROVENANCE: From a private collection and thence by descent.
