A plated figure, almost certainly of Queen Boudicca (Boadicea) and almost certainly previously used as a car mascot, on a modern plinth, 17 cm high Provenance: The property of a West Country Collector

More Information

The vendor first saw this mascot in January 2012, when owned by a friend and former owner of RN Autos in Clapton (Roy Nutt). Roy had retired and moved into Crewkerne with his wife and the owner was visiting, and during their conversation the subject of mascots was brought up and he was shown this mascot. Roy Nutt passed away in March 2020, and the owner saw this advertised for sale by someone from Tiverton, partly as a sign of respect to return it to the locality and tie it up with the back story again, the owner bought it and it later transpired that the seller acquired it when helping out a friend who was clearing his uncle's house in Crewkerne, and Roy Nutt had been one of the friend's uncle. The owner is not entirely certainly of its original purpose, although he is certain that it has been used as a mascot
