Cook Is. 1849 entire letter, written on the island of Mangaia on June 14th 1848 by Sarah Gill, the wife of George Gill (who has carefull vetted the letter). It has travelled by packet but without postal markings to show the route, sent to Hackney but then re-addressed to Haverhill with reciept cds's on reverse. The 7 page letter is very interesting, mainly concerning Family matters, but a very scarce item nevertheless. (See photo) (R)
