A group of three hardstone Scottish brooches, to include a circular example with openwork design with raised cross, set with bloodstone and red hardstone, with hinge pin reverse and stamped, 4cm diameter, a stylised example with agate set sections, closed to the reverse with hinge pin, 3.2cm long and a further brooch with amethyst coloured centre, stamped to reverse 'JC&S' with hinge pin to reverse (at fault) (3)

Largest example - cracks and chips to the outer surround.
One panel repaired crudely.
Nibbles and chips throughout the hardstone.
Tarnishing and possible repairs seen to the reverse.
Smaller example: hinge pin loose.
One stone missing, further stones with chips, nibbles and cracks.
Claws low on purple stone.
Final example: stones with chips and nibbles throughout.
Hinge pin loose and crudely repaired to one side.
Tarnishing seen to all three brooches.
All brooches in worn condition commensurate with age and use.
