The Toyota Supra was introduced in 1978. The first four generations were produced from 1978 to 2002. The styling of the Supra was derived from the Toyota Celica, but it was both longer and wider. The Supra also traces much of its roots back to the 2000GT owing to an inline-6 layout. The first three generations were offered with a direct descendant to the Crown's and 2000GT's M engine. Interior aspects were also similar, as was the chassis code "A".
This vehicle was purchased by the vendor's father-in-law back in 1992, he was the cars second owner. Following his death in September 2019, the V5 was transferred into his wife’s name, and as she doesn’t drive the car, it has not been used since. The vehicle comes with all of it's MoT certificates and an extensive maintenance history, this includes the original Toyota Service Book which is stamped from 1988 up until 1992.
The only only improvements that the vendor is aware of is that the radio was upgraded with a Sony WX-C570R audio system. He has checked all the electrical items inside the car and everything appears to be working, however both the front and rear wiper blades needs replacing. The vendor says that in his opinion this is a nice example of a 1988 Supra with no apparent rust, he has driven the car and it drives fine with no obvious noises.
