A LATE 19TH CENTURY SILVER MOUNTED LEATHER WALLET, the silver mounts impressed with Birmingham hallmarks, having the date letter of ‘y’ for 1898 and the maker’s mark for Charles Penny Brown. The wallet is opened by pushing on the raised opener and clicks closed. The interior is compartmented with soft brown leather, the name Purcell & Co. Cork is faded but present to one side. A beautiful antique wallet, the leather is worn with a nice patina to it. The stitching is loose to the interior however, with a little care it would be back to its best easily. Dimensions: 10 x 7.5 x 1.5cm.
