VENETIAN LETTER FROM AN ARMENIAN MERCHANT; Unusual c1725 (dated by similar examples from the same merchant contained in the British Library) EL (few peripheral faults) to Venice endorsed 'N.S.G.' (Notre Siegneur Garde) at lower left from a Hayrapet Martirosian in Isfahan concerning cotton trade who also mentions other local Armenian merchants. A most intriguing origin for which we have not previously offered. Cross Reference: EARLY LETTERS, ARMENIA, ITALY, ITALIAN STATES
