Buste de Victor Hugo, dit 'à l'Illustre Maître'

An early twentieth century bronze model of a bust of Victor Hugo entitled 'Bust to the illustrious Master' by Auguste Rodin (French, 1840-1917).  This bronze was produced using the lost wax process at the Montagutelli Foundry, Paris, circa 1912. Prior to casting is was signed in the wax 'A. Rodin'. It has a dark brown patina with golden undertones.
