A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 202645 Pte A.L. Haywood K.O.Y.L.I. Albert Lancelot Haywood was the son of William Haywood of 150 Thomas Street, Sheffield Moor, Sheffield. He served with the 2nd Battalion of the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He died on the 6th July 1917 and is buried at Coxyde Military Cemetery in Belgium, his headstone reads 'He Gave his life no more had he to give', he was 22 years old.
