The painting has extensive layers of varnish and appears to be very dirty. There is general cracking to the paint all over. There is a section in the lower left corner of the canvas where the paint has started flaking away. There is a 3cm long chip in the paint in the top right section of the canvas. There is a long scuff mark which runs on the canvas from the bottom middle of the canvas and runs in between to the figures head on the right side of the canvas. This can be seen in the online images.
