A late 19c pocket aneroid barometer by F Darton & Co. London with altitude scale to 8000 feet. The silvered dial shows inches of mercury from 23 to 31 inches and the button on the bow can be used to set the altitude scale relative to the barometer. It is contained in a brass pocket watch sized case which in turn, is contained in a leather covered travelling case. Barometer case 5cms dia.
Aneroid movement unchecked, may need adjustment. Silvering slightly tarnished. Gilding - some rubbing to back and bow. Carrying case damaged near opening catch.
