NAPOLEONIC WARS PERIOD - NAVAL LETTER FROM CAPT. WILLIAM HOSTE OF H.M.S. "AMPHION"; 13 Dec. 1806 EL from Captain William Hoste in command of "[H.M.S.] Amphion, Malta" to his mother in Norfolk charged "1/2" with a partly very fine double-oval "SHIP LETTER/[Crown]/PORTSMOUTH" on the front, with interesting contents (fully typed transcript) from the British Occupation Period inc. "We have just received the unfortunate account of the Battle of Austerlitz...that wretch Bonaparte carries all before him by land...I hope to give you an account of our Victory before long". Fine letter from this well-known Naval correspondence.
