Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials, red medal awards for 1862 and 1867, blued steel hands, single fusee movement in a gimbaled bowl mount with tipsy key in a mahogany and brass two tier glazed case with military handles to either side, the case, 17 x 18 x19cm (missing top tier to case, escutcheon and nameplate to front also absent) together with a copy of Morris, W J. 'The Mariner's Chronometer. Structure, function, maintenance and history' New Zealand 2012, blue cloth boards.
