Coy of the 7th Service Battalion, the Royal Sussex Regt: Three: 1914-15 star, BWM, Victory (G 526 Pte W J Grover, 7th Service Batt. Royal Sussex Regt), VF-GVF; Three: 1914-15 star, BWM, Victory (G2723 Pte A.H. Grover, Royal Sussex Regt). VF/GVF. Note: Walter John Grover, killed in action, 15.2.1916, buried at Quarry Cemetery Vermelles, France; Albert Henry Grover, killed in action 6.8.1915 near Rouen, buried at Houplines Old Military Cemetery, both born at Hurstpierpoint, Sussex. A third brother also came to answer the call, Joseph George Grover, a labourer, but was discharged in October 1914 (not likely to become an efficient soldier). £275-325
