A FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR GROUP OF NINE TO MAJOR HUMPHERSON R.A.S.C. A group of nine comprising 1914 Star with 1914 clasp named to S-19152 F. Humpherson, War Medal and Victory Medal with Mentioned in Despatches Oak leaf to Humpherson as Temporary Warrant officer 1st Class, 1935 Jubilee Medal, 1937 Coronation Medal, Second World War Defence and War Medals, unnnamed as issued, George V Long Service and Good Conduct Medal to Humpherson with the same rank, and George V Meritorious Service Medal to Major Humpherson. Frank Humpherson was born in 1884 in York, one of seven children. He attested for the Service Corps in 1902 at the rank of Private quickly rising through the ranks being Commissioned in 1928. His Medal Index Card confirms his entitlement to the clasp to the 1914 Star. He received the Mention in Despatches on the 1st of February 1917 and was awarded his Meritorious Service Medal in January 1918. He served beyond the Second World War completing a career of over 40 years. Mounted for display with cap badge. With copied research.
