British Airship RP postcards of the R38 (or ZR2 USN designation) which was trialled for sale to the USA. Whilst over Hull it broke up on 24th August 1921 with structural failure. It crashed into the Humber Estuary, killed 44 out of the 49 crew on board. At th etime of its 1st flight, it was the worlds largest airship (4)
