A George III mahogany serpentine fronted knife box with silver handles, lock and feet, maker's marks I.W (possibly John Weldring or James Wiburd, circa 1770) and standards only, containing: six George IV Queen's pattern table knives by Joseph Law, Sheffield 1828, the steel blades stamped for Smith & Co., Bond St., and six King's pattern dessert knives, various late George III and George IV makers and dates, the box 34.5cm (13 1/2in) high (the lock lacking the hasp, the box cover with edge split)
