An unusual Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain wine ewer or Cadogan ‘type’ puzzle pot, moulded oval double-gourd shaped body incised and gilded with peach-shaped reserves painted in Wucai with two seated scholars, with bamboo spout and fruiting grapevine handle surmounted with two grey squirrels and another squirrel to the removeable shaped cover. Internally there is a vertical hollow porcelain tube from base to fixed portion of cover, and open at both ends, (bamboo spout broken)
