BELLARMINE JUG. 11.6ins tall. Mid size quite bulbous bodied baluster shape, hand applied rear handle. Quite superb, highly varied, salt glaze orange peel colours with the addition of the cobalt blue splashes (rare). Sprig like applied face is really well modelled/ detailed. Three fine belly cartouches. Clear wire cut base marks. Some old body cracks, possibly in manufacture, all very stable? Apart from general wear no real damages. An absolute delight!
