Private Gerald Francis Robbins a native of Ilford volunteered into the 6th London Regiment on the 14th September 1914. He landed in France on the 18th March 1915 and saw action at Aubers Ridge May 1915. In January 1916 he recieved a head wound and was returned to England and was discharged as unfit for service on the 16th August 1916.
