Good United States .32 Moore’s Patent Firearms Co. Teat-Fire Front-Loading Revolver, circa 1865, serial number 9978, with 3 1/4in. round blued barrel marked ‘MOORE’S PAT. FIREARMS CO. BROOKLYN N.Y.’, 6-shot blued cylinder marked ‘D. WILLIAMSON’S PATENT / JAN. 5 1864’ open brass frame with scrollwork and silver-plated finish, walnut ‘bird’s-head’ grips and sheath trigger. Good amount of original blueing and silver plating remains with wear only on exposed surfaces, good, crisp action. An American Civil War period handgun with a special cartridge designed to avoid the fully bored through Rollin White patent owned by Smith & Wesson. 7" inch overall. Obsolete Calibre, No Licence Required
