A Seljuk-era engraved iron ladle, dating back to the 11th-12th century Persia, is a masterpiece of Islamic metalwork. The handle is adorned with intricate rectangular panels featuring Kufic inscriptions and geometric motifs, while the deep bowl showcases a mesmerising array of engraved mythical creatures and calligraphic designs.
