1794-1837 Entire letters from various official bodies which did not have the franking privilege, therefore charged postage, including the Victualling Office (2, one a printed O.H.M.S wrapper, the other in manuscript with experimental boxed "POST / PAID" datestamp, Jay 97 used April-July 1794 only), Customs (also an 1825 notice stating letters should be headed "On the Service of the Customs" although postage still had to be paid), Commissioners of Charities, Uniformity of Weights and Measures (printed wrapper), etc. Also an 1839 letter franked on behalf of the Court of Bankruptcy.
