An 18th century Creton fine hand woven linen square, possibly an altar piece, hand worked with a cream border and embroidered with polychrome threads into stylistic flowers and symbolic patterns around a centre cross motif, 39cm sq.

The fabric has damage to the borders, there are various large rust stains to one side and the embroidery is faded mostly the green embroidery.
