R.M.S. TITANIC: THE PASTOR JOHN HARPER ARCHIVE. Handwritten letter to Charles Livingstone from The Holy Land on Grand New Hotel Jerusalem stationery dated 17th February 1908. Written over four pages it offers a graphic account of his pilgrimage to Jerusalem, with a number of parallels to the Titanic disaster, 'we struck a bad storm on the Sunday and Sunday night and the steamer broke down twice in the Ionian Sea. At two o' clock in the morning we were summoned onto deck and had to prepare for the worst as the vessel had sprung a leak and had ten feet of water in her and was trying to put back to port'. Sold with it's original envelope.
