An early Bing live steam and electric lighting plant features a horizontal single-cylinder mill engine with poppet valves. These valves are operated by eccentrics on a shaft, which is turned by bevel gearing connected to an open crank. This crank has a spoked flywheel that drives a belt to the generator. It includes a spirit-fired horizontal boiler equipped with a pressure gauge, sight glass, and a weighted safety valve. Additionally, there is a simulated brickwork chimney that houses a water storage tank with a surrounding gallery. Untested but displays cleanly and would appear well preserved.
