A smokebox numberplate, 47473, from a LMS Class 3F 0-6-0T No 16556 built by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 4170, in 1927, renumbered 7473 in 1934, becoming BR 47473. A long time Bushbury engine, it spent its final years at Carnforth from where it was withdrawn in February 1962 and scrapped at Derby Works. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
