South Devon Militia Victorian Officer's glengarry c. 1874-81. Good scarce crowned pierced gilt strap SOUTH DEVON XXV REGT. OF MILITIA; to the domed silvered centre, a gilt lion rampant (from the Arms of the Earls of Devon). Loops VGC Raised 5th December 1758 at Plymouth; became 3rd Bn. Devonshire Regiment on Friday 1st July 1881.
