Bahrain. 1933 (July 11) Indian Trans-Continental Airways Calcutta to Karachi route, first flight covers posted from Allahabad, Jodhpur, Asansol or Cawnpore all to Bahrain, flown by Imperial Airways from Karachi, the first two printed first flight covers, three with boxed "CALCUTTA-KARACHI / FIRST / AIRMAIL" cancels, all with Bahrain backstamps (July 13). Very scarce, 46 covers flown from India to Bahrain of which 16 were from Calcutta. (4).
